Extreme Supply Review - Gear Vendor

This post was guest posted by: Garreth Jeremiah of Thornhill, Canada.

My order of 2 Shoei RF-1000 lids just arrived (RF-1000 Artifact TC1 and TC2). I’m ecstatic!

Company
Based in California. Lots of products available. Found some other good reviews online.
URL: http://www.extremesupply.com

Extreme Supply also offer a satisfaction guarantee. All items are fully exchangeable (except closeout items) within 30 days of ordering FOR ANY REASON.

Service
Very impressed. Firstly I had an email exchange because I wanted to check if a closeout lid (going for $299 US) was still available. Alas it was gone, but Adam offered to make some concessions on price for a non-closeout lid. I thought that was fantastic, but then they extended to offer to both of the lids I wanted. As if that wasn’t enough they offered only 1 shipping charge. Surely that’s enough right? Well, no…they offered (and I accepted) to call me to place the order instead of me calling them - ensuring that I got the discounted price offered. Adam called, very pleasant and professional - great so far, not the slightest hint of slimy salesman !!!

I later called back their main phone number (I’m a skeptic) to checkout legitimacy and to validate that my order was in their system. Spoke to Kim, again wonderful phone presence, even shared a joke or 2. My order was indeed in the system. They even allowed me to alter the order slightly because my wife decided she wanted a different color lid !

Price
Website listed $427 per lid. I paid a discounted price (asked not to list actual price). All discounts were honored by Extreme Supply. Shipping was a single charge of $30 via USPS (no UPS). Only additional charge not included was Canadian GST/PST, which I paid at my door. No US based tax was charged as I was not ordering from California.

Shipping
Sipped for $30 (for both, not each) as a single package. USPS emailed me directly to provide me with a tracking number and nightly status updates (via website) of the packages process. Package was shipped after 1 or 2 days from placing the order. Took 3-4 days (excluding weekends) in transit once it got to LAX including Canadian customs and shipping on the Canadian side. This is really great time considering that this week included Canada Day and Independence Day. Shipping would have been free to a US based address.

Condition
Brand Spanking New. Immaculate condition, in original boxes with lid cover and a lid bag. All original instruction materials and registration documents as well as the breath guard and chin curtain.

Really, these helmets are in perfect condition as if I’d bought them locally

Overall
Excellent, friendly, professional service that instilled a confidence that I wasn’t going to get screwed. Product condition was fantastic. I’ll probably be buying more from the very soon. Definitely a recommend !!

This company has piss poor service. I ordered a helmet from them and they mixed up the shipping address and billin address and at first they tried to say I had entered in the computer wrong. So I look at my recept that they emailed me and did not enter any thing wron. These people refused to send me another one from thier warhouse and take thiers back from fedex. So after playing phone tag inbetween fedex and them for a month I finaly have it coming to my address. Sadifaction guarantee I think not!!!!!!
